I'm an international student.
I'm interested in the major of Biomedical engineering.
I have several APs, not including Biology(does that matter if i wanna study bio...)
How much SAT score am i supposed to get if I want to enter Duke?

It’s always good to be in the 2200 range. but since you’re an international student 2000-2100 is also great!

Huh? If you’re an international student who is also applying for financial aid, admissions is *more *competitive, not less. Maybe you meant if English is a second language or something…But an international student applying for financial aid typically needs to be on the upper end of the range. If you’re not applying for financial aid, then it’s about the same as the rest of the applicant pool. There are no cutoffs, though. If you have overcome setbacks or have an interesting background story, great ECs, etc. a seemingly “weak” SAT might be overshadowed by your other accomplishments.

Well I just wanted to say to bluedog that nowhere in that entire paragraph did Hippotree say that they need financial aid or that they don’t speak english as there first language. Not everyone from a different country doesn’t speak English and is in need of financial aid.

^And I guess that not everyone on College Confidential knows what they are talking about, either.

The dynamics of admissions for internationals is hugely impacted by whether or not a candidate needs aid and, to a lesser extent, whether or not that candidate speaks English. bluedog made those inferences in an attempt to adequately answer the OP’s question.
