How much room for error on CR?

I've taken every 9 of the 10 tests in the blue book so far, and have noticed a considerable amount of improvement in CR. Gone from a raw score of ~54 to more than 62-63, in some cases.

Yet, only the first practice test has a definitive score chart. e.g. A raw score of x gives you a scaled score of y. All of the other practice tests offer score ranges, which I find immensely frustrating. I'm not sure where to categorize my scores with these ranges.

How great of a raw score is recommended to shoot for an 800? The first test's score chart says that even 3-4 points off the raw score is still an 800... the score ranges in the other tests are nowhere near as definitive.

Most tests it’s 1 wrong=800. If it’s really hard, 2 max. I’ve seen one with three points off, but that’s if you omit, and it’s the only one I’ve seen with three off anyways.

Don’t trust the blue books scoring charts. They get your hopes up for nothing and then crush them the day you get your scores back.
