Yes. The ISBN is just a quicker way to search for books, but sometimes the Pitt Booklist mis-types a number so you can’t use it.

A clicker is an electronic device hooked up to your daughter’s account (kind of like a way to take attendence). Some classes, notoriously chem and bio, use them to ask multi-choice questions to the entire class while tracking answers electronically (much easier than 300 papers). You simply point the clicker at the screen and choose your answer (A/B/C/D whatever). And then the professors labtop will record that you responded and you can see to check you’ve responded through a code number your clicker has.

This is a clicker: [i>clicker - Google Search](clicker&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1024&bih=596]i>clicker”>http://www.google.com/search?q=i>clicker&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1024&bih=596)

Like I said, the clicker is an easy way to quiz/take attendance for a large class, so, yes, she needs to check the booklist/contact her professor to check if she needs a clicker for her class. The clickers are for lecture, not lab.

My chem booklist for Hon Chem 2 said we needed a clicker, but my professor provided them for us, saving me quite a bit of money and hassle of buying my own.
