...for US History? I'm taking US History AP right now. So is that class and two or three practice tests enough to get a 750+, or do I have to do more preparation.

Also, what books do you recommend? I have the official guide by CB that specializes in the two history subjects, but maybe I need more?

Well, I'm not the best person to answer questions about studying, since I'm not a studier by nature, but I was in AP US last year, studied moderately for the AP exam (took 3 practice tests, read the study guide that our class comprised multiple times, and made sure that I KNEW every answer to the questions that I got wrong on the prac. AP tests) and did no additional studying for the SAT II. I took the SAT II in May (the day after the APUSH exam) and I received a 780 (got a 5 on the APUSH exam). So, personally, I would say that moderate studying for the AP exam + moderate studying for the SAT II would be more than enough to prepare you for the US SAT II. Of course, one disclaimer: I knew (and this sounds terribly arrogant, but I swear I'm not trying to be) that with my writing ability and the scores I was getting on the practice tests, that I was very very likely to get a 5 on the APUSH exam and that the SAT II would not pose serious issues for me. I certainly cannot guarantee that little to no studying will work out for you in the same way.
