So this is a good forum to post in if you want to meet other smart people. But what percentage of CC'ers do you think you're better than and why?

I think I'm better than 60% of CC'ers because I got relative high SAT's for my school (680R, 690M, 740W), but I'm not smart enough to take 3 AP's a year and I guess I just missed National Merit this year. I've been in my school's National Honor Society all three years so far and not many of the people there have been too bright, so I'm pretty confident in my standings.

I’m probably in the 40% percentile of CC. I like to consider myself smart, maybe slightly above average. But on this forum, everyone seems to be a freakin genius.

I didnt even break the 2000 mark on my SATS. Nor did I take a dozen APs, three junior year, and three senior year. So, pretty much on CC I’m nothing special.

i am easily in the top 5% for high school accomplishments if not top 2%. that’s what got me a full ride to caltech.
for college accomplishments i am probably in the bottom 10% since i will take at least six years to graduate if not seven. and i will probably never go back to caltech again. i still have a 3.8 though which counts for something
for intelligence i’d say i’m about average

I’d say a little above average maybe… I know SAT’s aren’t a great indicator of intelligence but I got have a 2240 which seems above average here… but my GPA is a 3.7 which is maybe average here. idk
And I’ve taken 4 AP tests and still haven’t got a 5 yet on any or gotten an A in the class besides Comp Sci which was just completion grades lol. Taking 5 next year

^^
Okay if your in the 25th percentile with those stats, than im in like the 1st percentile or something. I dont even know if 1st percentile makes sense.

I have like one of the hardest schedules each year for my class on CC, but I fail at life and only got an 1870 on my SAT sophomore year… (The two are mutually exclusive)

^^Soad, I agree. Someone might be better at taking standardized tests, but be much less intelligent than someone who gets a much lower score. Also, GPA can be different if someone takes some easier classes while another person takes the hardest they can. You can’t measure intelligence by school junk. That’s what makes admissions for college sort of bogus sometimes. How does the ACT or SAT say how well you will perform in college? Does it measure engineering ability?
