how much speaking/writing is required at Lawrence?

Does anyone know if Lawrence requires a certain amount of speaking to graduate?

Also, how much writing is required?

This may help you. http://www.lawrence.edu/dept/registrar/gerinfo.shtml

I know my son talks about courses that fulfill the writing requirement etc.

overseas gave you a good formal link. My D is a sophomore and writes in most of her classes and makes presentations in most as well. Many classes not designated at “writing intensive” still require a good deal of writing. She is a double major in the conservatory and many of her core music classes also require papers and presentations. Hope that helps.

basically quite an amount of writing… and writing intensive is like a senior capstone or research/thesis thing… haven’t taken those classes yet…but the conclusion is… quite and amount of paper…(and quality too!)
cheers~
(afterall Lawrence has an Undergraduate program rated top 10 in the states)
