How much time do you need to study if you had:

AP Calc AB
AP Bio
APUSH
APES
Chem H
English H
Spanish 2

I'm just asking for an estimate (I'm in a fairly competitive school with people going into the top 10 colleges, teachers are moderately hard).

For people who have already been through AP/Honors classes, list the number of AP's/Honors classes you have taken for a certain year and how much studying you had to do (hours/day or week). What I mean by studying is everything that you need to do (homework, review, extra practice) to get an A or B in the classes. Also, post the grades that you've gotten beside the hours.

Um, you're asking for a lot of information. I can tell you that the time needed to get a A or a B in an AP class really depends on how competitive your school is and how the AP classes are structured. For my school, even though it is not extremely competitive, the AP courses are very difficult and generally 95% of all students in AP courses at school get 5's because of the extensive preparation; however, most students end with Bs because As are so rare in our AP classes (even though everyone gets 5s at the end). At my friend's school, everyone gets As in their AP courses (thus, some people can take 8 AP classes in a year and still have a 4.0) but only around 20% of the class gets 4's and 5's...there's a big disparity depending on your school.

But just generally, for the courses you've listed:

AP Calc AB - 30 min to two hours per night, depending on how tough your teacher is; it might be harder for you if your base isn't solid
AP Bio - 30 min to an hour max - ap bio is not hard, but teacher may assign a lot of busywork (taking notes, completing study guides)
APUSH - 30 min to 1.5 hour - depending on how much you have to read and how fast you churn out essays
APES - 15 min to 30 min - mad easy exam/course content
Chem H - "honors" is relative depending on the school you're at - probably no more than 30 min.
English H - same
Spanish 2 - same

I think it would be more helpful if you asked your friend who had taken these courses at your school for the estimates...schools are SO different when it comes to course difficulty. "Honors" and "AP" may be killer classes in one school but jokes in another (especially the designation of "Honors" - I hate that label, it doesn't really mean anything and the definition of "Honors" is so broad and incomprehensive).
