I'm doing another survey for my tutoring club(I started the AP offered vs taken thread too). I want to give the students in my club a general idea of how much time other students are spending for their ec activities such as sports, clubs, work, volunteer, science fair etc during a typical (average) school week. DO NOT include summer activities. Please participate ONLY if you're a high school student based on current/previous records and not on projections. Thank you!

I have weight lifting for sport at 6-7 am M,W,F and sports practice 1:30-4:30 M thru F. I also have club practice 6:30-9:30 two days a week. I also have games on the weekend. So I spend way too many hours.

so 4 hours a day monday through friday. Then you have another 4 total on weekends. so like 24 per week. I would probably add a few more for events that are not weekly. Then, If you include classes I am taking out of school, i would say 40 a week.:)

@Lesley: Over 30 hours is killer but manageable. I do between 10 and 15 hours of online tutoring a week and often I do my homework while tutoring. My other big ECs are done primarily on the weekends, taking up almost all my time then, and the rest are after school, before school, or during lunch hours.
