My interviewer is busy from 1-2:30, after 2:30 is too late because of how far I'll have to drive back home. So I want to get in before 1. Should I create about an hour long time slot or so at maybe 11:30 or 12? Or should I expect the interview to run around 30 minutes or so?

I just asked him. 20 minutes to an hour.

Just for prosperity, my interview was 20 minutes long and very standard (what clubs are you in, your grades, test scores, thanks bye).

It depends on the interviewer and the person you are. My interview lasted a bit over an hour and a half, with some great feedback at the end (from the interviewer). Out of the seven interviews I’ve had for schools, only one’s been shorter than an hour (the Harvard interviewer arrived 30 minutes late due to some miscommunication re. the interview location). Then again, I have to explain my EC’s every time given that I founded, owned, and ran multiple international online organizations. So, it depends on the person being interviewed. If there’s a lot to say about you, then it’ll take an hour or more; but if there’s not too much, then you’ll be fine with less than an hour.
