How much weight does high school transcripts hold in junior transfer?

For transfer students they ask for an official high school transcript? How much weight does that hold , espaiclly if you did poorly in high school .

Will your SAT scores matter ?

You will be asked to submit official transcripts from all schools and colleges you have attended, including high school

You don’t always have to send them in. I’m not sure how it works. Maybe it has to do with AP or language that was signed off via high school. Last year my daughter’s UCLA transcript request specifically said NO HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED.
