I'm a junior and the first practice test I got a 1200. -_-
I didn't study anymore and got a 1950 a few days later... which is a big jump. I'm guessing the first score is a fluke because I got a 27 on the plan (pre act test out of 32). I'm a junior who has gone through half of an SAT prep book and completed the daily SAT question of the day for a few months, not much else. I'm taking the SAT on saturday and hoping for a 1900 at maximum.I'm not really prepared and I just had finals this week so I don't expect much more then that. After taking a prep course or even having studied for more than a week, how do you think I could do on the test as a senior or in the fall?
How much were you able to improve your score and how did you go about it?

The first time I took the SAT, without any preparation whatsoever (I hadn’t even bothered to take a look at any sample questions), I got 1990. Second time I did quite a lot of practise, and got 2200. Took it again last month, with a tiny bit of prep, and got 2260.

I think doing practice tests actually help, but it probably works differently for different people.
