I’m a junior and might receive a C second semester IB Math SL. The lowest grade I’ve ever received was a B (two, actually) in freshman year. I’m in the full IB, and have about 100 hours of community service under my belt. My ACT is 28. How much would the C hurt my chances of admission to U of Michigan or Ohio Wesleyan University? I’m a Michigan resident.

Considering you’re in-state for Michigan, I doubt two B’s and a C would hurt too much. Which department are you planning on applying to?
A C will hurt your gpa, but you said MIGHT! Try your hardest to get that B but if you don’t it isn’t the end of the world. If your only low grades are 2 B’s and 1 C you have nothing to worry about, but you should try and raise your ACT a bit.
Into LSA. I know my ACT is low, and that’s why it’s a reach. However, I figured having better grades would somewhat help. Thanks!
OWU is usually very forgiving of a few mediocre grades in hard classes. It’s not going to help your chances at Michigan, but as an in-state resident you will have every opportunity to offset one so-so grade with other factors.
