How much will a weak freshman year affect me?

Hey guys. I really want to go to UMich and I'm a current jr. Long story short, I had a somewhat bad freshman year because of problems, ending up with a 3.5 and 3.3 as my GPAs. Starting from sophomore year I got a 3.8 and a 4.0, and now jr year I have a 4.0 for my first semester unweighted. (My school doesn't put weighted GPAs on the transcript)

I know UMich no longer recalculates GPAs so this was worrying me (especially since my school doesn't put weighted GPAs on the transcript). How much will my freshman year affect me in the end?

Thanks.

if there is one year that you have room to not do as well it would be freshman yr. College admssions people love to see improvement so the fact that your GPA has risen consistently since then shows your maturity and effort. Do well on your standardized tests and leadership in ECs and you’ll be fine,

Thanks. Even though I’m out of state UMich engineering has seemed to be my calling card for a while.
