I got a recommendation from one of the deans (I am not saying associate, admissions, or the main one to protect his/her privacy) of Duke Law School. He/she taught me for a couple weeks in a course on wrongful convictions, and offered to give me a recommendation to Duke.

She said the recommendation is extremely positive, and I think she handed it herself to one of the undergrad admission people at their office.

How much will this help!?

Good luck to all of you with admission to Duke, and hopefully all of us on CC will get in!

Phi, as a recommendation that means it'll help in its own right. I was just wondering if a professor at Duke giving me a recommendation would possibly give me a larger boost than the one from any recommendation.

I didn't mean that his/her position as a dean of something would help (although it could). Thanks for answering, though!

Hey Helicio, I am sort of in the same position for another school.
Did you apply ED for Duke? let me know how your decisions come out, okay? :) GL
