How much will virtually no ec's or volunteering affect my application?

K I'm a junior and im nervous about my ec situation. I'm not gonna force anyone to review my ec's but could someone please pm me i need some serious ec counselin!

o and to the op i think it depends on what your school offered for the first two years of high school and also what you ddid with the two ecs you had. cancer is obviously more than enough to cover why you didnt have ecs junior/senior years.

just make a new thread, there are plenty of nice people on CC willing to help :) (plus ec's arent really something you have to keep private in the same way as your essays)

I actually have a friend in a very similiar situation. He has virtually no EC's largely because he was sick for his junior year and did not have time. (Not as bed as cancer, but bad enough to prevent him from doing anything significant) He's planning to write his main essay on how he was sick, the disappointments it caused, and what he learned. He said that he doesn't want to really portray his illness as an excuse, but more he hopes the admissions officers will see his case and connect the dots. It's kinda risky I guess, but I feel this type of strategy would be looked at as much more of a genuine case.
