Depending on my school, Im thinking about double majoring in Accounting and Business and Minoring in Mathematics. How much work would this be?

Why major in business? You’re going to be studying accounting.

It obviously depends on the school, the majors’ requirements, and if anything overlaps.

To have two majors and a minor, that would be a lot of work. I’ve asked a similar question, though I think as you experience your freshmen courseload it may be easier to decide… along with what pandem mention.

Wow! You’re going to be stressed the F*** out.

Having an extra major and minor isn’t necessarily more work if the subjects aren’t “super hard” and “super demanding.” Everyone has to take the same number of courses or credits to graduate so the poster is just more specialized as long as s/he doesn’t have to take extra classes to graduate with everything.

Uh they will most certainly have to take a lot more extra classes in order to graduate with two majors and a minor.

That “Business” major looks a bit useless to me. Most colleges don’t even have anything that general. If you put it with accounting, I see no reason for it.

Yeah, I agree that double majoring in business and accounting is stupid…you’re probably going to be taking general business courses in the accounting major anyway so there’s really no point.

Not necessarily…they’d just be filling up what would normally be random electives with the extra major and minor courses depending on how many general ed requirements they had to fulfill.

A general business degree isn’t very useful or intellectually rewarding. I’d say drop the business major.

Double major + minor can be quite manageable depending on the school and how much overlap is allowed - for instance I am doing double major in Applied Math & Economics (some upper level courses will count for both) and a minor in Entrepreneurship/Management (which has very loose requirements where I go) - the feasibility all depends on how stringent requirements are, if you are fine taking like 4 courses per semester for the majors/minor, and if you come in with some credits in other areas to make it easier.

I’m going to be a freshman Theatre and English Literature double major with a minor in Education. I’m going in with a lot of credits already and am taking most Gen Eds online during the summers. I’m going to have to come back for a 5th year semester as a grad student though, just to do my student teaching.

I currently have a two major and a minor. My extra major and minor doesn’t require THAT much extra work but since my main major requires so much time it’s been a hassle and I’m probably going to drop either my extra major or my minor.

I’m gonna be doing 5 years though for my extra major if my appeal goes through.

My major is Animation and Digital Arts and East asian languages and cultures (so I can study abroad) My minor is drawing.

I ll be a Public Policy and Economic major this year the good thing is tha alot of classes over lap. IDK of a minor though
