How much work per day

Hello All,

I am going to be a Junior and have registered for the October SAT test and was wondering if the amount of work I am doing is good enough.

I’ve been studying for the SAT lightly since the last 2 years ( very lightly), I have only started doing it for real within the past 5 days since there is less than 2 month left.

I am hoping for at-least a 2,250 to be considered adequate for Wharton at Upenn.

I usually now hover in the high 1900s to low 2000s , although I manged to achieve 2140 today ( lets hope I can maintain it and increase, critical reading comprehensions and the essay are pulling me down)

I am currently doing about 4-6 SAT sections a day and learn about 30 vocab words a day.

School will eventually start so I wont have as much time to dedicate to the SAT anymore and might only be able to do 1-2 sections a day in September :frowning:

I am also planning to sit the SAT again if I don’t get the score I want.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Am i doing enough/

bump

I’m in the same positions as you, I’d say do 5 sections a day or even 4 would suffice AS LONG AS YOU KNOW EVERY WRONG ANSWER YOU MADE.

like, if you make an error - make sure that if it shows up again you do NOT repeat the error. That’s the most important part otherwise you’ll fall into the same trap that many students fall into. If you study without review, then you are just seeing how easy or hard a test is for yourself IMHO.

School starts in september for me as well (junior year) so may God give us strength xD

good luck!

true, reviewing can be hard wen you dont have explanations

I also am going to be taking the SAT in oct as a junior. You might want to occasionally do a full test in one sitting because I realized that there is a difference between taking 3-5 sections compared to an entire test in one sitting. Do what OneDoubleThree said, check your mistakes… that is how you will improve. I’ve done many reading sections and I actually have been doing worse (I went from a 750 --> 590). I will be reviewing my mistakes and hopefully I will raise my scores.
