This summer I had a paid internship with the Cleveland Clinic where I worked with different physicians on a research project for forty hours for nine weeks. My work dealt with breast cancer and has been submitted for publication. I am just wondering how much this could help me with my applications. I have good test scores (over 30 on ACT), but obviously not the best (but I also got 5's on AP Bio and Calc AB last year), and the way my school's academically structured, it is hard to take many AP classes (the "smartest" people usually take 6, I took 5). So I am wondering if this could give me a good boost in my applications? I have submitted abstracts for the research to each college I've applied to. Thanks so much!
