I dont know how much my parents make. They refuse to tell me. All I know is that they paid full tuition for HS and college for both me and my bro (100k next year in tuition fee yikes) I live in an normal house, my parents dont buy expensive things, and my family cant afford insurance to get a new car. (currently sporting a 94 toyota and a 98 ford)

That’s kinda like my family… we don’t live in a huge house or get ridiculous cars, but my parents saved up a bunch of money for me and my sister for college (plus they love to buy technology… like the 9 computers we currently have lolol). It’s all about priorities, I guess. The $200,000 we saved on a house (compared to most in our area) is going to my EDUCATION so HURRRRRRR

this is closer to what the numbers are around here. i guess, if anything, that i would change upper to maybe a little higher and just widen the middle class section, but honestly, i wouldn’t know what to consider upper income.

and plattsburgh - you can live on $25,000, depending on where you live and how big your family is. granted, you’re not gonna live extravagantly, but you can manage. it’s a very day-to-day thing, though.

as for myself - my parents make a combined income of just over $30,000, and there’s 6 people in my household (parents, brother, sister, grandma, and me). we live relatively comfortably, but yeah, we know that we’re at the low end of the income scale. my parents can’t really afford to save money (although they probably should) - my mom probably has about $400 in the bank right now, and even that is optimistic. i’ve pretty much promised myself that i won’t be as horrible at saving money as my parents…

Interesting…it is impossible to sustain even a family of three with 90 K in the county I live in…and I feel really poor sometimes when I compare myself to my friends with golf courses in their backyard and five Lamborghinis parked outside their houses…
