<p>Well, it's not really luck. Need to treat it well...</p>

<p>Here is what you need to do...

[<em>]Put all itunes and other important info on flash drive or CD
[</em>]Turn off computer
[<em>]Insert the install disk that comes with PC
[</em>]Hold down "c" while turning it off, insert install disk
[<em>]Keep holding down "c"
[</em>]Go through the process
[<em>]When it tells you to chose "volume" to install on press options
[</em>]Select "archive and install"
[<em>]Finish the process
[</em>]Restart computer
[<em>]Go to "system"
[</em>]Put the "previous system" folder in trashcan
[<em>]Empty trash
[</em>]Delete unneeded applications:
[ul]
[<em>]Right click application
[</em>]Check "contents"
[<em>]Put em all in trash
[</em>]Empty trash
[<em>]Put the icon in trash
[</em>]Delete it completely

<p>I actually do treat my laptop well.
I don't need to do that now. My new hard drive is working well enough for me to survive. It is only 2 weeks old. :) Thanks though. I usually do that before I bring it to the apple store because if your hard drive is shot it won't be able to do the archive and install part.</p>
