How Nice are the Dorms?

How are the dorms at Cornell?

It depends. Some are really nice and some are okay.

Depends on which dorms you’re talking about.
North Campus?
There’s a wide variety in appearances… ranging from newest (Mews/CKB) to the Low Rises built in the 70s (riot-proof and thus extremely confusing).

In terms of social experience, I’d say Dickson and Donlon are the most social (though definitely not the nicest). I lived in Dickson and loved it, so…

i spent the weekend at UT-AUSTIN and let’s just say…cornell (even the 70s dorms) were nicer…

I’m putting in a deposit at the San Jacinto dorms at UT austin over a year in advance :)

A&Ms dorms are also pretty bad. Strangely enough UT dallas had the nicest dorms I’ve ever seen. While a free ride sounds nice, I think I’m going to pass on UT dallas, though.

What exactly makes the riot-proof dorms confusing?

i will say that the UT campus was overwhelming…i felt nauseus(sp..cant ever spell it right)

such dirty air…hot wheezing sun…cornell is sooo pristine compared to UT…

UT Dallas is a good school…but no where near prestigious…

the riot proof dorms are confusing b/c you cant go up the fire exits so you have to twist your away around the inside of the compact dorms by going into the building either through the loading dock door or the front door
