When I went to visit International Village, it looked really modern. Different common rooms were painted in different colors, and there were decorations of ethnic stuff all over the place. It looked like it was only 1 or 2 years old. The tour guide said that the best dining hall was in IV. As for the rooms, there were about 20 something stories. At the end of the hallways, you can look out and see the bamboo (I think it was bamboo…) they’re growing…for some purpose…I forgot. The room I got to see was a single…and it had a tile floor. And it’s pretty roomy. I’m not sure about this either (I visited in the summer, and I’ve a really bad memory LOL), but it’s two rooms to a bathroom, and it was really clean. There was a bed, a desk, and a closet, but there was also extra room to put other stuff too.

My son likes IV. There tends to be less student interaction than a dorm with “bathroom down the hall” (some kids bungee-cord the door open when in their rooms, to encourage visitors). But it is nice to have a semi-priivat bathroom.

Note - IV students are responsible for the bathroom cleaning chores. And providing toilet paper - ha, with the steep rooming charges that comes as a shocker to parents.

Paying for toilet paper was never an issue- it was getting someone in the room to bother to go and get some. The key is to buy the massive packs every time you go to Target, even if you aren’t running out.
