I've taken the test twice, the first time I was more relaxed, but the second time I got really nervous and did worse than before. Any tips? I really need to improve on this as Oct is my last chance. Thank you.

Some cheesy motivational phrases never hurt. Also just tell yourself you’ll be fine.

Cheerioswithmilk's Guide to the SAT:
Perhaps even more important is that you pack these motivational phrases into your head the days before the test:
[ul]
[]Its just a big, fun puzzle to be solved.
[]The answers are right in front of you; you just have to find them
[]You have been trained to do this, and are as experienced as anyone.
[]If things get bad, stay calm and remember to keep your wits.
[]Dont think of it as going backwards from 2400; youre going forwards from 600.
[]No miracles needed. Just do what you know you can.
[li]Youve done this 20 times before, so its nothing new.[/ul][/li]These things can help pull you through during difficult times, even if they may not all be entirely true.

On the day of the test, be sure to get up early with plenty of time to spare. Dont try cramming the night before, and make sure to get enough rest. Eat a full breakfast, but dont drink too many liquids; you wont want to have to go in the middle of the test. Also, make sure not to eat anything that might upset your stomach later.
