i am a junior and was planning on taking the ACT in April and June BUT i dont kno how NOT to send an ACT to a college...
lets say i got a 2 on the aprila test but a 35 on the June test..how do i only send the june-35 ACT? i also dont want a bad ACT on my transcript

When you register for the ACT, do NOT have the scores sent to your high school. You can send an official score report later if you are happy with your score. Do NOT list any colleges to receive your scores even though you get a certain number for free. When you see your scores and are happy with them, you can pay to have them sent to your choice of colleges. In your hypothetical example: you get a 2 on the April test. You took advantage of the free score reports and sent the results to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford and to your high school without knowing your score. You study like crazy for 2 months and retake in June and get a 36. Well, HYPS already have your score of 2. Your high school already has your score of 2 and may make it part of your transcript (depends on the school). Bottom line: don't send your scores to any college or to your high school until you have seen the score and are happy with it. It costs more this way, but otherwise is to your advantage. If you plan on taking in April and June, wait for both scores and then decide which one you want to send. You're a junior, so you have plenty of time.
