Most metro-ATL counties don't have quotas (mine included :) ), so the average speed on a freeway is like 83 MPH and 50-60 MPH on a surface road (with speed limits of 35-45). Plus, there is enough "real crime" (murders, rapes, burglaries, etc.) to go around so that we don't need petty quotas to help with budget crunches (that's what they're usually used for).

I've heard of quotas in NYC, LA, and a few other cities where budgets are constrained, and I think there is something wrong with that. However, I don't blame the cops... I blame the system.

cops are jokes in general... they have no education, anyone can be one, and all their superiors (fbi and higher agencies) think their clowns.

You've gotta be kidding me. A good half the cops in my department have college degrees (most from UCLA or UCB). A lot of people don't make it through the training... seriously, do you have any basis for your opinion?
And I would love to know what you're going to do if someone breaks into your house. Probably call some of those "clowns", right?

haha, im partially frustrated with the whole cop speeding quotas ( i got a ridiculous ticket recently), and combine that with the fact that ive been watching a little too much 24 lately, that is where the comment came from...... I CALL JACK BAUER IF SOMEONE BREAKS INTO MY HOUSE

There are no such things as quotas. They're illegal. People just think they're getting picked on when they get a ticket for doing something illegal.

The vehicle I was in got an infraction today. I wasn't driving though. Plus, the reason wasn't for speeding. It was because a passenger from the back stood up to turn off the music because the driver was trying to talk on the cell phone (which is legal in my state). $100 fine right there.

When you're near a city hall, don't try stupid things.
