I am looking at what classes to take next quarter (they posted it today). I was wondering how often do they change class locations? For example I have a class 10 minutes after another because it is in the same building. Should I be okay? When will they change class locations if they do?

Haha, that’s something we can’t really answer. It’s all random, you never really know. Sometimes the classes never change rooms, sometimes they change at least 2 or 3 times. I’m pretty sure it’s possible for them to change classrooms up until (or at least pretty close to) the first day of class, so you’ve got a long way to go! Keep your fingers crossed :P

You can make it across campus in 10 mins. So who cares?

^can i really? from like the social science area to the humanities or the engineering area to humanities? How?

you can make it to humanities from engineering or ICS in less than 8 minutes if you cut across the park, and make sure you know where you are going.

From social science, it should take about 9-10 minutes if you just walk straight down past the student center to humanities, not sure if there is a faster way.

I have two classes back-to-back in the same building so it’s pretty darn nice. You can just relax and wait for your next class, and not worry even if your professor goes over time during lecture, stuff like that. But if you end up changing classrooms, junshik is correct, you can make it to any class on campus within ten minutes.

Planning so that classes are nearby makes it easier and less stressful, but it shouldn’t be absolutely necessary. Yes, you can make it from engineering to humanities in less than ten if you cut through the park (and make sure you’re using the shortest path possible). It should take just as long as going from social science to humanities taking ring road. You just have to use your judgment whether to use ring road or the park for the fastest route. Obviously you wouldn’t use the park if your class is along ring road, or you wouldn’t use ring road if your class was straight across campus, etc.

i wouldn’t say within 10 min is possible for every class… claire trevor is pretty darn far because it’s its own little world haha

True! That is the exception haha :D

True claire trevor might be hard to get to in 10 mins from engineering or so. But everything else just cut across the park and you can do it in 10 mins or less. Guaranteed. I go from SSLH to Rowland Hall 5th floor in 7 mins! and if I can do it, you can too.
