i’ve really never skipped school…maybe overslept once haha but unintentionally. i hate making up classwork at home so i might as well not skip school. and plus, getting senior parking passes depends on your attendance lol.

They pretty much do the same thing at my school. “Educational opportunities” which include a bit more than field trips aren’t counted. I’ve officially missed 2 days, with 2 tardies I believe.

I ditched 5th and 6th today, and i’m not going thursday or friday due to a surgical procedure.

About once every 3 weeks I miss a day of school, usually because I’m sick or something a long those lines. And it’s not near-death sickness, but enough that I know I would be better of just staying home then going bc I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything at all. In fact I’m home right now But I don’t skip school or classes like go there and then leave without getting caught, I’d like to honestly haha but the school calls when you were marked absent and says which classes and I haven’t figured out away around that yet. I’ll think of something :)

I actually skip school A LOT. It’s gotten to the point where I’d come to school and people would be shocked (not literally, but in a humorous way)

I skipped junior year like 20something days, just under our schools cut off for a red flashing light. The temptation was so high, when I had a car… and I didnt need to actually attend class about 1/2 of the time. School is only the best environment for learning if you are in the right mindset - on days when you are absolutely not, why bother?

Never unless I’m sick or I have a LOT of homework due the next day (e.g. 7 page papers, huge projects, etc).

i dont think i ever have… unless if its something actually for school… but i dont think that counts -___-

Me neither. I feel nervous whenever I think about skipping school.

yeah i dont… not because i dont want to get in trouble but because i really cant afford to miss classes

pretty much never

I’ve definitely determined it’s easier to just show up than try to skip. I even go when I’m sick because it’s easier. I’d rather take tissues to class than have to waste my valuable time making up work.

One quarter, I skipped my stupid design class 4/5 days of the week since I would get the project done in 1 day. That way I could go to all four lunches and see all of my friends :)

i m doing it right now.

I’ve done the whole perfect attendance thing- overrated. I miss lots of school now, but less “leaving school” and more in-school type things. Like lessons and such. Random, and probably doesn’t count, but it gets me out of class.

i skip school to study for academic competitions and the like about once or twice a month in the spring.

i skip school to study for tests (uh, the SATs), if i’m sick, and that’s it.

JBVirtuoso- amen to that. I’ve had times when I’m sick, but felt it wasn’t worth it to miss school because of all the makeup work I’d have. Especially during swim season, especially on the day of a meet, I don’t want to miss school because I want to go to swim practice/meet.

Well, I missed 1-4th periods today. Heh. Only was at school for what was, I guess, around 3 hours maybe? Yay.

Never skip school to get work done. I’d just be more overwhelmed with the work that I’d have to catch up on.

I try not to skip school if I’m sick. If I have a cold, pneumonia, infection I’m there popping pills between classes.
Although I did take one day off this year for an injury, but I was in tremendous pain and could barely breathe…
