<p>i don’t skip school, but
i sleep in like everyday, and come to class 15-20 mins late almost every other day, but my mom writes a note, so its all good. so if i add up the minutes im not in 1st period, its probably around a good 10-15 classes for the year…lol</p>
<p>My immune system is pretty much a brick wall covered with steel and bulletproof glass, so any days I miss are intentional. 
I only do it once or twice a year though, usually in the spring when I realize that I have perfect attendance, aka If something happened in class, I was there. Just the thought of myself, in school, every day for 6 or 7 months weirds me out. </p>
<p>My school’s policy is that if you don’t check in for class/at the dean’s office, and you haven’t been called in, then it’s an automatic detention for every period you miss. One kid last year got 7 detentions for missing the day, even though he had a legit reason and his parents called in the next day. (I just mumble at my dad with squinty eyes and claim I have the worst cramps of my entire life, and he calls in for me

<p>LOL I’m skipping now too. But I usually don’t, unless I’m pretty sick, which is like two or three days in the spring. My parents always obsessing with my attendance; maybe they’ll get arrested or something, they think. -___-;</p>

<p>For the first three years of high school, I don’t think I skipped school at all. But during senior year, I’d skip either when I was substantially late (I HATE walking into class late) or just didn’t feel like going to school…</p>
<p>For DD, middle school (3 years - 0 skipped)
For 9th, 10th, 11th, and 1/4 of 12th - she missed 1 day</p>
<p>Never. I’d feel too guilty. Plus, then I’d have twice as homework for the next day and my physics teacher would give me a zero if we had an assignment that day.</p>
<p>I really don’t even do it if I’m sick. The only reason is school business.</p>

<p>I’ve missed many days due to field trips due to various clubs and classes, but never absent <em>knock on wood</em>. I’ve been tardy once or twice, once because I got back from my Florida robotics trip at 1 AM and the other cause I called and woke up my ride when I was supposed to be leaving to go to school.</p>
<p>I’ve missed probably around 10 days/year for being really sick. I’m the kind of person who would stay home for a cold, but my mom is the kind of person who would kick me out the door while I’m throwing up everywhere, so we usually compromise. When my mom’s out of town I get sick a lot more.</p>
<p>I’m not usually allowed to take personal days, mostly because I beg to have every other day off. I actually did get one this week though, as a reward for filling out my ED apps and because I had double detention.</p>
<p>I never really skip full days, just classes that I don’t like. haha I’m a bad ass :p</p>

I do this all the time as well…although that’d mean ditching 5/6 of the classes I have. </p>
<p>Usually I just ditch a couple if I don’t feel like going, though. There’s many interesting places to go nearby my school (real close), mainly food places and a couple shops and etc, and I have a couple friends who drive so I just hop on and go to places. Sometimes I’d go with a bunch of friends to one of their houses and chill/game for an hour then come back secretly…I’ve only been caught once.</p>
<p>I think that’s grounds for like… suspension/expulsion at my school. We’re not even allowed to leave for lunch. o__O</p>
<p>Sometimes I “skip” class by having a legitimate reason to leave and just screwing around after I’m done with my legit excuse, lol. Also, I hated World History last year (loved the teacher but not as a TEACHER) so I just came to class like five to ten minutes late every day (hung out in my boyfriend’s class) and said I’d been in the bathroom and the teacher just yelled at me and called me a wench but didn’t really care. (Holy run on sentence.) That doesn’t count, though, I guess.</p>

<p>I only miss school for debate competitions, appointments, and when I’m so sick my mom makes me stay home (and makes me toast and tea :)). </p>
<p>I don’t have a car, so I usually don’t skip class. The only way to skip and stay on campus is to go to lockout, which is in this ghetto dungeon room and you can’t talk. So…no thanks.</p>
