After going to college for a while I have realized that it is not always necessary to go to class. In fact, it can be good to skip classes that are easy to focus on the harder ones.

Does anyone else do the same thing?

Does anyone else do the same thing?

does anyone not do it?

I have not skipped a class once this year. I did have an unexcused absence (I think) for going on thanksgiving vacation a day early.

I’ve never skipped a class. School maybe 2-3 times a year.

Edit: Are you talking about college students? Blah I’m taking about HS.

I skipped English and history several times this year. Interestingly enough, I made an A in both of these all four quarters, and they’re IB classes. Case-in-point: some classes you simply don’t have to attend all that often to do well in.

I missed a lot of class on account of extracurriculars, illness, etc this year, and still managed to maintain a 4 point. Though, that may not qualify as skipping.

2-3 times per week, unfortunately.

I don’t skip too often, maybe once or twice per class each semester at absolute most. And I always let the professor know in advance, which saves me when it comes to final grading if they hold absences against you.

Depends on the class…I skipped about 8 history classes last semester since I knew it would be an easy A no matter what :p

I skip Chem a lot because it’s terribly easy, but I usually get an excused absence for it (because I don’t want to actually skip…that’s cutting aka a write-up + ISS!)
