Hey guys,
I was fortunate enough to be awarded a Stern scholarship for $27000 which is apparently renewable for all 4 years, as long as I maintain their minimum GPA requirements and file my FAFSA on time each year, and my EFC does not change "significantly". Would I still be able to keep my scholarship even if my household income goes from like $120k to like $150k-160k in like a year or two? Or would it be taken away? (Otherwise I cannot afford the hefty price of NYU.) Thank you so much!

Fin aid rep at recent regional accepted students reception said that as long as you keep your GPA above a certain level (2.0 for CAS, might be higher for Stern) the grants/scholarships are good for the full four years. Said as long as you turn in your FAFSA on time each year, you should keep the FA. Said they hardly ever look at the income increase - has never seen an instance where increase in income resulted in reduction of aid package. Just one person’s words - can’t guarantee its veracity.
