I ask because this has now happened three times this semester, and I'm quite annoyed at this one especially since it was 3 am and I was about to go to bed, but instead I got to freeze outside. I guess it was legit though since three floors including mine were filled with smoke. Last semester this only happened once and I wasn't here for it.

False alarm? Never.

Depends on the people you live with and how big the buildings are. The building that I live in now, we haven’t had any yet. The building that I used to live in had 5 times the amount of people living in it and we would have one roughly every 2 weeks.

Never had a false alarm. The fire drills (only three this year) have only occured late in the morning, so I don’t have a problem with them. Actually, once there was a fire drill that happened 10 minutes before my alarm went off.

Only once or twice a year, and so far as I know they are planned drills. It’s only happened once so far this year. (knocks wood).

I don’t know why the drills are always in WINTER. I get they like to have them at 10 oclock on weekdays because people are home to actually participate in the drill (and in the shower, because that’s so convenient… lol) but we DO have some nice weather before it all turns to hell for the rest of the school year. haha

I’ve only had it happen once. It was really annoying, but you just go see friends in another dorm or friends who have an apartment, lol. No big deal.

ONCE and i was ****ed. I was sick. It was cold and i just took some medicine and fell asleep. ten minutes later i had to go outside in my shorts, in winter in new england. Can i say ■■■? Also i locked myself out, considering i was out of it.

Last year it (freshman year, freshman dorm), it happened all the time…like, at least once a month if not more. For a period of time when one of the driers in my dorm was broken then deemed “fixed”, it was every other week or so because it would set on fire that often…

Twice. Both drills.

As opposed to the large notorious freshman party dorm, which has them regularly because people can’t use microwaves properly.

There is a dorm at UA that the fire alarm used to go off at least twice a month. The university installed cameras and the problem is gone
