I mean motorized scooters like vespas..
Im thinking it would be better than getting a car.. anyone have one?

i would think they would be better on larger/urban/city campuses

I don't really see very many people with scooters. Mostly bikes and motorcycles if it's something like that.

Buy a good lock so it wont be stolen.

get a Segway

i didn't see anyone with that type scooter when i went for the summer. a lot of people did have skate boards and long boards for getting around campus though.

They're pretty popular at UF as a way to get around town.

Haven't seen anybody with a scooter here.

Students who are commuters either have cars or take the train in. Students who aren't commuters generally use bikes (or rely on public transportation to get around the city).

At the first college I attended (in FL) skateboards and longboards were popular too (though I don't think that's as common up north. Or maybe it's because I attend a women's college?)

I've only ever seen scooters as a common alternative when I was at UF. I can imagine them at FSU too though I've never been. I guess if you go to a large state school where the campus pretty much is the town, they make a lot of sense.

segway all the ... way

findout if a segway is even legal where you are,

scooters are really popular with the athletes at my school. most kids use motorcycles or bikes if they're driving on campus during the school year since cars are a hassle on campus, and there's a city bus system. but athletes have practices at seemingly random (and early/late times) when the busses aren't running so they hop on a scooter.

it's entertaining to see 250 lb linemen riding their little scooters around town
