how popular is pre-dentistry

NYU offers 7 year dental program. It is called BA/DDS program. You spend 3 years in College of Arts and Science and then move on to College of Dentistry, which is 4 years. It picks only 10 people. So you should have at least 3.5 GPA and 1370 SAT (without writing). I got into it but then i don't know if i really want to be a dentist. I got into Rutgers pharmacy so i have to choose between these two schools. Have any idea?

Umm...do you want to do pharmacy more than dentistry?

That is the problem. I don't know what i want to be. But the thing is in order to stay in that program, i should maintain at least 3.2 GPA(minimum) and take DAT. If i don't get that grade, im in a risk of getting kicked out of the program. I would go to dentistry if i don't have to worry about that. And in pharmacy, i have to maintain 2.5 GPA. That's more safe. But i don't know how hard it is to maintain 3.2 in college.

Maintaining a specific GPA depends on the school, the major, the courses taken, and of course the student. It's quite variable.

If you're not sure about your career goals, then I'd say that it's not a good idea to go into a "track program."

Purdue also offers a "Pre-Dentistry" major, i plan to be a dentist and i'm majoring in biological sciences.

Maybe I should have taken AP Biology eh?

I'm currently in AP Chemistry as a junior

Frosh, I took Biology

Soph, I took Chemistry.

Should I take say economics over an online course and then make room for AP BIO?

Are there a lot of colleges that offer a pre-dent program?? Or do you have to go to a specific denistry school??

help me with my question ^^^
