I am interested to see what, if any, correlation there is between junior year PSAT scores (typically the last taking of that test) and superscored SATs.
Post breakdowns of PSAT and SAT scores like mine, which were eerily similar and the reason I'm curious about this, along with your thoughts on this subject
PSAT: 80 M 76 CR 69 W=225
SAT: 790 M 770 CR 700 W=2260

PSAT: 77 M, 60 CR, 68 W = 205
SAT: 800 M, 680 CR, 760 W = 2240

Not that similar :p

In CR/M/W format

PSAT: 223 70/80/73
SAT: 2310 790/720/800
SAT: 2400 800/800/800

Absolutely no correlation between PSAT and first SAT.

Talk about unpredictable…:)

Psat:190
sat:2200

hoping my D’s SAT’s are also higher than the PSAT, since she did HORRIBLY on the writing section!! the other two sections were decent, though not stellar.

@holliesue: if she plans to take the SAT again, have your daughter use this:

FreeRice

it’s very short (the questions repeat after half an hour or so), but it is a pretty good tool for testing one’s fundamental knowledge of grammar rules. (it also shows how objective the writing section really is.)

Sophomore PSAT: 210
Junior PSAT: 234
First SAT: 2330
Second SAT: 2330

Soph PSAT: 232

Soph November SAT:2400

pretty close considering i worked hard in the 2 weeks between the tests

PSAT scores were lower than SAT scores. I don’t remember my PSAT scores exactly but I believe the predicted range was in the high 600’s to low 700’s. I ended up getting a 2280 overall if that helps :)

PSAT Sophomore: 176
PSAT Junior: 184
SAT One sitting: 1880~1930 / Superscore: 1990

I barely ever studied for the SAT on all sittings… so I guess it’s not surprising that my scores remained low.
