How Predictive is Early Evaluation

i was wondering how accurate (not sure thats the right word) EE is. does everyone who gets a likely get in? it seems like a good idea, assuming it works i guess.

did they have this last year? if so i'd be interested to know if anyone got a likely and then was denied (or an unlikely then admitted)

In my year (I'm class of 08), I believe 100% of "likely" applicants got in. So , if you get a "likely" EE, you're pretty much in.

I'd sell my soul to get a "likely".

when do we get the likely/not likely?

AGH...i'm so nervous.

late february i think... i just checked the website but now i've forgotten.

yup, late feb.

I think that "Likely's" don't get admitted only if there are major circumstances like academic fraud in high school that surface. If you get an "Unlikely," give it up. For my D's year, the number was zero. "Possibles" were something like one in six...though my memory is shakey on that one.

LATE FEBRUARY? oh, so cruel...

i hate waiting. and i thought 2 weeks for SAT scores were bad.

oy....

at least its not "early april" or just "april" like some of my other schools....

generally: 0% of unlikelys, 25% of maybeys, 100% of likelys

Yeah, February is much better than April. Last year, knowing I was a "likely" at Wellesley eased much of my stress with the long wait. If you're a "likely," you're pretty much in--just don't rock the boat.

eek.... i want to know now!!

ME TOO, cheesydish <--weirdest phrase i've ever said
