<p>Hey all, my teacher provided us with both 2003 and 2008 released (in class, cannot share sorry), and I was surprised to see there were none of these topics. I went through the frqs from the last 6 years or so and again if anything they are just given through relatively simple tables.</p>
<p>Im considering not really spending time on these. Would that be wise? Can anyone tell me the last time they did one of the above topic questions? Thanks</p>
<p>Optimizations problems are not likely to come up. However, Related Rates have appeared on past FRQ’s, even if it is only on one part of the FRQ, so make sure to study the basic ideas of it. To tell you the truth, I think that the College Board doesn’t even care about optimization.</p>
<p>Optimization and related rates occasionally occur on the test, but they’re useful regardless (in physics, chemistry, etc.). Last year I believe I saw a few related rates questions on both MC and FR (this was a BC test though).</p>
