How prestigious is publishing research in a high school journal vs other top research awards ?

Hi everyone!

A paper for a project I conducted a year ago was recently accepted for publication in the Journal of Emerging Investigators. This Journal is meant for high school research only. I believe that it is the most prestigious of all high school journals, but publishing in that is obviously not as important as publishing in professional, peer-reviewed journals like pnas and Nature. However, I still think it is a pretty good accomplishment for my resume. How prestigious do you guys think publishing in this journal is compared to other top science awards like Siemens / Intel STS / ISEF ?

-Thanks!

@paul49ers - every bit counts. Keep continuing your pursuits and interests. As other posters would say "dont do these just to get into college, but because you are passionate about it.

publishing anything helps, but see if you can at least send it to other well known research journals
