If you send the SAT or ACT electronically, how long does it take to reach a university?

I know it may take time to process the ACT/SAT order. But once it's processed, is it sent instanly to the college to be recieved?

Thanks all!

My understanding is that the test score is not “sent” to a school. Rather schools log on to the SAT or ACT server and download the scores that have been requested to be provided to that particular school. Therefore, when a school receives your score is dependent on how often a school logs in to download.

how do i find out how often a college looks to download the ACT scores?
Do they look each buisness day?
once a week?
The day of Deadlines?!
ahh! lol

and thank you RSBuletz

you can call the ACT and ask. I called last year and they explained the results are ‘‘batched’’ and the colleges pick them up, usually once or twice a week, depending on the school. They were even able to tell me the batch number of my sons test in case the school continued to show it as missing. It wasnt, the school updated the next day and it was there.

thanks Jersey girl!
