How realistic is a 5?

Many top colleges will only accept 5s for credits. I was just wondering how many students actually get 5s since it seems to be pretty rare.

the College Board lists what percentage of test takers get each grade, for each exam.

I think it depends on the class and your understanding of the subject.

It varies a lot. the histories are about 10-15 percent, while english language can go as low as 5 percent. then on the other side of the spectrum calc bc has like 40 percent of test takers getting 5s

yeah, i would check collegeboard, they have all the statistics

To get a 5 for most exams [note: most, not all], all you need to do is just pass the test. If you fail, you'll get a 4 or 3, and if you fail miserably and get like a 30%, you'll get a 2 or a 1. For some tests the curve is harder making a C+ a 5, but most of the time a D+ or a C- will get you a 5. F's sometimes will, though that is only for some rare exams

As a rule of thumb, a 72% is like a borderline 5. This means that if you really bust your butt studying, a 5 is pretty easy to get, even when you have multiple APs.

PS: A 80% is pretty much a 5 for sure,
59-70% --> 4

I know that for AP Lang, it was 101-150 out of 150 was a 5.
