How realistic is it to...

Self-study AP Chem while taking an honors chem class? I'm taking a bunch of honors classes next year, but only one AP (WH). I'm also going to be self-studying AP Comp Sci because 1) I like Comp Sci (took an intro class this year, class isn't offered next year), and 2) It's not supposed to be too hard.

Anyone do this, or something similar and can tell me how it went, and the difficulty of it?

You might as well take the AP Chemistry. What I mean is, Honors Chemistry only skids the surface of the AP Chemistry curriculum/Inorganic curriculum. If you do attempt to self-study, you will have to go in depth and learn more and new subjects. AP Chemistry is a year-long class for a reason. AP Chemistry has a lot to cover, and you seem already busy with your other classes, so don’t waste your time. It’s hard to learn 1 year’s worth of Chemistry with a bunch of other stuff going on. To me, it seems like you’re rushing, don’t. AP Chemistry isn’t a walk in the park, and the AP test isn’t easy either. It’s better to have a teacher teach it to you so they can explain deeper and help you. There are also labs that you’ll miss if you don’t the class. The labs are important in the class and aid the students for better understanding the concepts they’re learning. If I were you, I wouldn’t take the class.

AP Chem is one of those APs you should ONLY take in school.

Believe me when I say I’m not rushing, I’m not taking 5 APs sophomore year like some kids on here lol. And, thanks for the advice, I won’t self-study.

Lol thanks for understanding and your welcome. I didn’t take any AP’s Sophomore year lol.
