When considering admissions, do UC's look at the GPA up until the fall before transferring (aka, you send your application in November and the grades you get at the end of December will be included) or until the summer before you send your application (aka you send your application in November and the UC's only take into consideration your GPA of all the classes finished at that time).

The reason why I ask is because my GPA is currently rather weak, and I'd like to know whether getting more A's by the end of the fall semester (aka AFTER I've already sent my application) will help my admission chances.

BTW, if it makes any difference (and it probably does), the UC's I'm concerned about are UCLA (bizecon major) and UCB's Haas School of Business.

For UCLA, at least this year, you need to update your app (same website as sending your app) by February 15th. Cal has a different deadline and a different website.

Don't worry, you'll see this all when next year rolls around. I'm sure this website can help you then, lol.

We will wait for the application update to finalize the review of your application. The deadline for the application update is February 15 (UC Davis prefers that the update is completed before the end of January) and most likely Winter grades will not be available before this deadline. Therefore, we can only guarantee that fall grades will be included in the admissions review.
