How Reliable is the CollegeBoard Online Course! -_^

Hey,

I just finished one of the practice tests on from the CollegeBoard Online Course and my score was 2000 (680 CR, 65M, 670W)

I'm going to do some more tomorrow, but I just wanted to know how reliable are these tests? Should I expect a +/-20 points in the actual exam?

This is really important because I'm trying to move from 1850 to 2000+ for the Nov SAT date, which would be my second time taking the SAT.

I’ve never taken it, but personally and word around the forum is that the BB is the best guide to prepping.

Since you’re already scoring exceptionally high, just take BB tests and take time to understand why your answers are incorrect and read silverturtle’s guide before anything!

Since it is made by college board… I say very realible

What does BB stand for?

official collegeboard blue book (bb = blue book)

lol @Zombie!!! yea I wasn’t thinking along that line, but yea since it is made by CB i guess its a good judge of my actual score.

I’m just really paranoid and determined to get 2000+! thanks for the help! :)

After I had exhausted all the tests in the BB I started taking tests with Collegeboard’s Online Course and found the two to have tests that were equally successful at replicating the actual test. People tend to recommend the BB first because it’s cheaper ($20 vs $70), but the Online Course is in no way inferior.

However, practice tests are not an accurate replica of the stress level on exam day, so I’d predict a gap of much more than 20 points on the actual exam.

oh that is so true I didn’t factor in the stress level.

When i took the exam in January, for the first time, I was extremely nervous but I’m a bit more relaxed now cuz if I don’t get the score I want in Nov, then I could always retake in Dec. Whereas Jan was the last SAT date to take the test for fall applicants, so it was a “one shot, go” for me

For every test you take by collegeboard, expect a +/- 100 on the real thing.
