These are just core classes, so this doesn’t include gym or art or anything like that. My GPA for just these classes is a 3.36 with an upward trend. Is this course load rigorous or should I have pushed myself more?
What matters is if your courseload was rigorous compared to other students at your school. You can ask your counselor if he or she thinks that your courseload was more or less rigorous than what students typically complete at your school. If you’re already in your senior year, there’s not much you can do to change the rigor of classes you’ve already taken. Don’t worry about it.
Well, first answer this question: How many Honor, AP,and/or IB classes are available in your school? That is looked upon by college admission officer for how rigorous your schedule is.
Are there any rules as to when and how many difficult classes you can take?
Then how about the kids at the top of the class? How rigorous is their schedule (how many Honors and AP’s)?
Yeah, forgot to add that my school offers only 10 AP’s. I don’t know about honors, definitely more though.
You need to ask your GC what s/he will put on your transcript for strength of schedule. That is what will count.
