I was wondering if anyone could tell me how rigorous the biology program is at Clarkson. I hear it is extremely rigorous for engineering and was wondering if that is true for the biology program too. I visited the campus and really liked campus and the surrounding area. Any current students who can share why (of why not) they love Clarkson? Thanks!

I am a clarkson senior and all three of my roommate are bio majors, two with minors psychology, and they love it here. They are always saying how great the professors are and they know them all very well. it is a small program so the professors really have a chance to spend time with the students and always around to help them. That is at lest what my roommates always say. Every program at Clarkson it rigorous but I’m sure you’ll do fine. My roommates and I are all very involve and still do fine in school. I have a great job lined up, one of my roommate is going to PT school at clarkson next semester, one just got into Northeastern and Brandice grad schools, and the three was able to graduate a semester early with the minor. So this place is great. everyone here has a great time. don’t listen to the princeton review we are happy

Thanks for the encouraging info! Deciding between Clarkson and one other school, so far though it looks like I’ll be at Clarkson in the fall. Can’t wait. Thanks.

MEh, I was very unhappy. I’m a physics major, and the physics program was great. The student life is atrocious there.

Clarkson is not an LAC. I suspect student life is probably not so different from other tech-centric colleges. It woulld not be quite as academically intense as the tippy top engineering schools, but still an excellent choice for STEM students looking for small town and strong programs.
