<p>I’m only applying to Hotchkiss! I already go to a great school that goes all the way through 12th grade, so I don’t need to apply out. I love Hotchkiss, though, and I really want to go there. I’m from SoCal!</p>

<p>NorCal= Historic, pretty brick roads, amazing buildings, nice people, perfect mix off country/city (basing this off San Fran)
SoCal= Iconic, cultured, diverse, lots to do, sand to snow in three hours (basing off where I live/have been)</p>

<p>In all honesty, NorCal is surprisingly (at least to most people) boring haha. I live near the capitol and there is absolutely nothing interesting to do. The most excitement we’ve ever had was when Arnold S. was mayor. Honestly, I feel like NorCal is for elderly, retired people who are ready to slow down (I’m jk, for the most part). However, it’s fairly diverse! If you go to SF (San Francisco), you will see all shades of people, ranging from very very pale to midnight black. That’s the one thing that I’ll miss if I get the opportunity to go to boarding school on the East Coast! :)</p>
<p>@Starkali What schools are you applying to? That sucks that NorCal is boring- I have cousins who live there and they say the same thing, but they don’t seem to mind living there.</p>

<p>@starkali Gosh, I love San Francisco! Some of my family lives near there and the city is awesome. But I’ve heard Sacramento is kind of ghetto and kind of boring. Still, SF is pretty cool though haha :)</p>

<p>I’ve never been to Boston, but from what I’ve heard and read, I can imagine that it is very similar to San Francisco. I go to San Francisco quite frequently, actually! (maybe once or twice a month) I lived in LA for about 2 months (For modeling) and there were parts of it that I really loved, and parts that I hated! I loved the weather and scenery. However, the people there, in general, just weren’t as warm/fuzzy as they are here in NorCal… idk maybe it’s just me. haha</p>
<p>@aubreygal: It’s funny how you say that. I’ve always loved San Francisco and Boston (especially Boston!) and hated NYC and LA. Now that I come to think of it… thre are unerring similarities. :rolleyes:</p>
<p>I live in LA, and I don’t really like it here. Even though the weather is nice, a lot of LA is kind of gross and other parts of it are completely overrated and suuuuper touristy. I love SF though :)</p>
