How Schools Notify Applicants (2017)

Yes, that might have been the case; I went back and re-read the thread to refresh my memory. AppleKid’s Andover package was fedex priority overnight and it arrived at 11:45am. And while I was signed up for notifications, I didn’t receive notice of the Andover package. But I also mentioned weather disruptions and that might have been the reason there was no notice.

In any event AppleKid didn’t know I was checking; sometimes I really do try to not let all my crazy show. Luckily both kids are more like DH: que sera, sera.

it’s probably not likely, but does anyone know about how Williston or Wilbraham-Monson notify applicants??

thanks in advance!

If you have subscribed to the FedEx, UPS, or USPS tracking services through their programs, you are automatically notified about any shipment to your address. The sender cannot “turn off” the service that you’ve subscribed to. I’m not making specific recommendations for using it, just saying… I have it for all three carriers. As annoying as it can be, with multiple daily texts and emails notifying you each time your package is scanned at any point on its route, it can also be very useful, which is the reason I have it.

Note to kids: You cannot subscribe to the services without your parents; you need to provide family and financial info that you probably don’t (and shouldn’t) have.

@sobrooksgirl I believe Williston Northampton sends out an email a couple days before M10 to inform applicants about time, date, etc… Otherwise you can always call the school and ask (but do it later… like March beginning…)

@Atria ah, thanks for the info!!

Do any schools send out earlier? M10 is so far away…

@makp715 most schools send admission decisions on or around M10(either a few days before, or a few days after). because april is usually when revisits take place.

Most of the schools discussed here agree to use the same notification date, which is M10.

Does anyone know about Asheville or Madeira?

@twentyscholar
On their website:

On Madeira website:

I received my Rejection letter today from Cranbrook, I applied as a day student though. The letter came regular mail.

So sorry… was that the only school you applied to @lovinglife1008 ?

Some schools send out decisions earlier than M10 if you applied as day. Usually the deadline for the day apps is earlier too…

Just to update the chart that leads off this thread, Northfield Mount Hermon just sent out an email saying that their decisions will be available online at 12:01a.m. on 3/10. I wonder why they are waiting that long? Why not release them at 12:00:01a.m.? :wink:

Update: Milton

Milton sent out an email saying that decision will be available via their portal on M10 (no time given)…

Update: Middlesex
Decisions will be emailed on M10 @ 9:30 am EST…

Does anyone know about Cheshire?

@nikolaanna
Its on M10…

To everyone who is thinking about posting here to ask for the notification date:
Go to the school website. Its probably there. Then come back and post what your found as an update. That way we will have an relevant list and you hone your investigative (cough… google…cough) skills :wink: .

I checked Chatham Hall since I hadn’t seen them on here that I could recall. It just says early March and that there will be notification. Not sure if that’s M10 or not.

@makp715
Its probably M10…
My friend applied last year but she decided not to look at her decisions until all of them came… I know by the next day (M11) her Chatham Hall decision had come in…

We got an email from Lawrenceville saying that decisions will be available on their portal at 9AM EST
