Last year's thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-admissions/1449656-how-schools-notify-applicants-2013-p16.html

This year, I made a spreadsheet on Google Drive (dummy email, don't worry). Please add schools and edit the info if you know something I don't. Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/ccprepschoolnotification2014

To add a school, click on the box above where it will be alphabetically and roll over Insert, then Row below.

Now that there's a like button, feel free to try it out on this post! :)

Those dates need to be adjusted for this year. The M9’s happened because M10 was on a Sunday that year. This year, M10 is a Monday, so all TSAO schools are sending out their decisions M10

Do mail results arrive M10 or are they mailed on M10?

I think it depends on the school, it’s really hard to tell. I think many schools try to have them arrive on the 10th, but don’t quote me on it.

I do hope they arrive on the 10th since our day school decisions have to be in by March 12th…that gives us two days to see if boarding works out.

Is it weird that my day school has the same calendar as all the boarding ones? I don’t know if I’m in until M10, and I have to confirm my spot by April 10!

We heard by the end of day on March 9 from all the schools that sent acceptances. The rejection and wait list letters came a couple of days later. And CameoKid’s top 2 choices actually let us know on the 8th, which really took the pressure off for those last 24 hours of waiting. 8-|

Those last 24 hours, man, I remember those… Half of me is looking forward to them because it will mean I’ll know, but half of me wants to wait forever…

Where does St. Paul’s post their results? They don’t have an online portal.

It could be an email, but I don’t know. Most of this information was collected from previous years’ threads.

Does anyone know what time the emails usually come in? For people who have already been through the process, were you able to check them before going to school?

Some of the online ones are portals that post decisions at a specified time. Last year M10 was a Sunday, so not too many people went to school!

But it depends on the school. Some will know before school, some will run to the bathroom to check their phones, some will wait until they get home. Exeter, for example, emails students around 6:00 AM.

I got my email at 5:30 from Exeter. The Andover Waitlist letter came a week after M9, and Hotchkiss’s decision was available at 9 am

A week?! That must’ve been a horrible wait, hoping FedEx made a mistake.

Some people on CC said they called FedEx on M8 to see if they had any packages for them. If they said yes, you had an acceptance package. If they said no, then you were probably rejected or WL’d. I called and they said no. I knew that I was either WL’d or flat out rejected. But now there’s this year

@sincostan We’re on the same page! WL’d last year at Andover… Now nervously anticipating March 10th. Good luck!!

last year i had a musical performance on the day decisions were sent out…made me even more nervous than i already was…

What time zones are the times using? I would guess eastern, but if someone knew that would be great.
