I didn't finish the essay on the ACT. How much will I be penalized for it?

I started the conclusion and had about 2-3 more sentences when time was called.

i only wrote one sentence for the conclusion but from what ive hheard, the essay is grade wholistically so not the ACT people down in iowa city should understand that you ran out of time...has anyone gotten 10+ by writing a one sentence or no conclusion?

I don't think they penalize you that much. They aren't really looking for a certain method of writing.

I don't even recall having a conclusion. (I might have written one, but it was 3 years ago so I don't remember.) I just pulled it out of my ass--whatever sounded good-- and pulled a 35/36 on the writing section.

As long as you seem coherent and the writing seems "complete" then you should be fine.

i heard that some people skipped the conclusion and still got 10's and 11's. The score will be mainly based on your 3 points and your intro. Conclusion has little factor in your score.
