How screwed am I?

Well I just started my 2nd semester of my junior year and I’m of course working my ass off but im a little worried about how wide of a selection I have with colleges. All highschool I’ve taken the most rigorous courses available to me and I’ve ended up getting C’s in about 3 classes so far in my whole HS career. I have a 3.2 UW GPA and a 3.8 weighted. That’s low for the amount of rigorous classes I’ve taken. My schools Weighted gpa’s can max at 6.0. I have many EC’s. I’m on my schools football team and rugby. I’m in the marine biology club. And I’m in the Jazz band.
How limited are my choices with my gpa and General profile?

Oh and btw I’m not looking for an elite or top school. Just a school that can fulfill my interest (marine biology) Im aware of some of the schools but of course I’m still open to anyone that can tell me anymore I should research.

You should make use of the SuperMatch tool available on this website. It’s on the left bar under “Find a College”. Plug in your stats and any preferences you may have and see what is spits out. You should try to maximize your GPA this semester, and make sure that you don’t overload on APs and honors next year. Don’t worry too much about your current GPA, what’s done is done.

For marine biology, I have heard that Eckerd in Florida is very good, and depending on your SAT/ACT score, it may be a match. Have you taken the SAT or ACT? PSAT? What is your budget?

I will definitely research Eckerd considering I live in South Florida.
I did take the PSAT I got a 162 Im aiming for a 1800+ on my SAT that I plan to take in March and June.
I’m not sure about my budget as of now.

1800 would put you in a good position. Definitely study and keep prepping. Miami is another good option in FL, although a bit harder to get into. This is a list I found of marine biology programs http://marinebio.org/marinebio/careers/us-schools/ it might be useful to look over.

You should sit down with your parents and run some NPCs (Net Price Calculators) on the websites of some schools you are interested in to see if they can afford what the school wants you to pay. If they can, great! If not, you’ll have to look at some schools that offer merit scholarships for someone with your stats.
