How selective is the JSA summer program?

<p>One of my friends is currently attending it and made a big deal about how important it was. She's into government and all that, and shes taking an AP Gov course at Princeton. She says that it'll have a huge impact on her college apps.</p>

<p>I'm wondering how true that is. I signed up for the program too, and although I didn't apply, I put in my phone number online and I literally got 7 or 8 calls from people asking me to apply. No other program that I signed up for did that..</p>

<p>it's not competitive at all. it looks good if it is supplemented by long-term involvement with JSA itself.</p>

<p>Not too selective. But I've done it two years and it's a pretty worthwhile experience, if you get a good professor.</p>
